Senior Financial Consultant

Al was previously Vice President of Sumex Inc. For over 30 years he has been providing senior level financial advisory services. In 1979, Al launched an accounting practice that later merged with a prominent national firm and grew to be one of the largest chartered accounting and management consulting firms in Edmonton. Al has played key roles in many local, national and international projects and in the management of his former firm.

Al has been a Chartered Accountant since 1972. He received his B.Comm. in Economics from the University of Alberta in 1969. He is a member and past Treasurer of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, and he served a three-year term as a member of Council.

Al has been involved with many community groups including serving as a member of the governing boards of Capital Health, Caritas Health Group and St. Joseph's College. Al is a member and past Treasurer of The Rotary Club of Edmonton. He has also been Director and Treasurer for other not-for-profit organizations focused on enhancing the quality of life in Edmonton.
